Why love is important?

Before we look the importance of love, let us first see the definition of love to let us understand why we need it. Define love. Love? Well, everyone knows what love is: Love is....... and you struggle to define it. You know it but find hard to define it. Theologians may say, ‘The definition of love is found in the Bible, 1 Corinthians chapter 13 verses 1 to 13:   Love is patient, kind, doesn’t envy, is not arrogant.... and the list goes on. To me that is not the definition of love but the characteristics. In other words, here Paul talks about what love is and what love is not. 

I once open a challenge to my Facebook friends to define love. Some of them attempted with different approaches. None satisfied me. But one of my high school teachers defined it in just 3 words: GOD IS LOVE. That satisfied me the most. Which is also found in the Bible, 1 john 4:8b. 

Of course there are different kinds of love: love between family members, love between friends, love between opposite sex and the unconditional love of God. I am satisfied with the definition ,’God is love,’ because without God’s love all other forms of love become conditional. And when love becomes conditional, to me, it is not true love. Relationship by blood doesn’t guarantee us love, nor between friendship nor likes, attraction and beauty between opposite sex. 

Love is important because God is love. If the love between you and God is strong and good, other forms of love will follow suit. You need to understand God’s love to fully understand the other kinds of love. 

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. -1 Corinthians 13:13 ESV 

Why Relationship?

Why relationship is important?

“Whoever Isolate himself seeks his own desire;i

He breaks out against all the sound judgement.” *

It is not healthy to be secluded oneself alone. One should be in a relationship. By relationship I don’t only mean the relationship between two opposite sex but relationship in general. It can mean the state of having something in common. You can be related with someone else by friendship, family or even by common interest. 

When a person refuses to be in a close relationship, even to the family members, it means his or her trust has been broken. I am thrilled to see the etymological meaning of the word - relation; from Latin word, relatio, which means bring back or restore. To be in a relationship we need to bring back the broken pieces of our trust and restore them. 

Relationship is important because no matter how you enjoy being alone or single, time will come when you badly need someone. Someone who will listen to your story, someone who will approve you or someone who will share your burden. 

Happiness is not sweet when you are happy alone;

Sadness is much bitter when you bear alone. 

 Stay connected and happy relationship.

Why happiness in life?

If you ask people why you should be happy in life, they will give you certain reasons. They will tell you the positive results and outcomes of being happy. They will say, you should be happy because :

• There are people who love you.
• Happy people are more productive than others.
• A happy person is healthy.
• Happiness makes a better relationship.
• Many people dream to have your life.

And many more reasons to be happy. By looking the outcomes of happiness many people have spent their time, money and fortune in the pursuit of happiness. However, happiness is not found only in luxury or wealth. Happiness, I think, is not the purpose of life. You can not purchase happiness with your wealth nor can you force yourself to be happy.

Happiness, like other virtues of life, is a part of life. It is the outcome of something happen in your life or something you do. It is the result of your attitude and action. You can control happiness in your life through your conduct and cognition. 

You should be happy because happiness is a virtue, you can create it and control it. If you want to be happy, be optimistic. Go, help someone who needs, expecting nothing in return. I guarantee, that will make you happy.

Why live life?

Why should we live life?

We should live life not just to pursue happiness nor just to enjoy it; nor just to eat, drink, work and rest; nor for the sake of existing and surviving. We should live life to discover the meaning and purpose of it and fulfil them. We should live life to accept the fullness of it whether it may be sadness or happiness. We should not try to avoid life because of the hardships and difficulties. Suffering is inevitable in life. Living life is more than existing or surviving but to know the meaning and purpose of it and fulfil them. One may experience suffering, hardship and happiness. Well, that’s life. One must not expect only good thing in life. 

We should live life because life is precious. The probability to be born as human and live is extremely low. It is 400,000,000,000,000 to 1 odds of being born as human being. If you are alive and reading this, you are a miracle. Do not waste this miraculously precious life. Live life to the fullest of its meaning and purpose.
