The Life of God?

IS GOD REALLY ALIVE?

“God’s not dead, He is surely alive,” goes the famous christian slogan. Have you given a second thought about God being alive? To make sure something is alive we need to see the characteristics of living things. What are the major characteristics of living things? As we have read in our primary school: living things need food; living things breath; living things grow, and finally living things die. Do you see any characteristics of God? No. Then How can you say God is alive?

Life is for mortal beings. God is immortal. Every living being is mortal and no living being is immortal. So there is no direct connection between life and immortality. God is not just alive but more than alive. There is no vocabulary to describe the being of God. Every living thing begin somewhere at a certain period of time. God is not bound by space and time. He is the creator of time and space. He is the beginning and the end. Alpha and omega.

Does this mean God is dead? God is not just alive and so He can not die. Human languages are not meaningful enough to describe about God. Because He is God. In His wisdom he created life. He is not bound by life and death as he is not bound by space and time.
